CRAYONS

The way we see it, we are selling crayons. Whatever you make with that crayon belongs to you. But the price of the crayon is that you let us see what you drew. Within the DeviantART community, we also ask you to tell other deviants about the crayon stash by linking to it. Do not take a crayon you don't intend to pay for. And don't claim our crayon as your own, even if you mess a bit with the wrapper.

:iconcrayondivider1::iconcrayondivider2::iconcrayondivider1::iconcrayondivider2::iconcrayondivider1::iconcrayondivider2:

ART USE (photo-manipulations*, digital mixed media*, drawings, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, textiles etc.) *digital enhancement...see "may not" section.

1. Notify = show us what you have made. You can do so by comment, note or email (admin@wickeddeep.com) that includes a link for us to view your work.  If your art is uploaded to multiple sites, you need only send us a link to one of them (DeviantART having priority). If you don't intend to upload the image anywhere, please email us a photo, scan or digital copy.

2.Credit = put a clickable credit LINK in your deviation description on DeviantART so that others may find our stock. We understand it is not always practical to credit outside of DA and don't require it, but appreciate it when/where possible.

FAQ #81: How can I create links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?

After meeting above requirements, Artists MAY...

 Display your work outside of DeviantART.
 Sell your work.
 Use your work commercially.
 Make and sell prints of your work.
 License use of your work.
 Enter your work in contests.
 Use your work on Roleplaying (RPG) and SIM games.
 Use your work in tutorials.
 Use your work in videos or video games.

We hereby grant permission to all DeviantART-ists to use our stock in their DeviantART prints.

Personal note: The only payment we get for offering these images is to see them made into something more.  If at any time an artwork you make using our stock enjoys success such as publication, gallery display, awards or merchandizing then it would be lovely to know about.  As you can see by our rules, we aren't wanting money or credit for what you've done.  But it would be fun and satisfying for us to know and possibly be able to purchase or see your artwork in person.  So let us know what happens, okay?  We wish you the best.

You MAY NOT...

 Make stock from our stock in the form of tubes, brushes, PSDs, stock line-art (lineart for your own use is okay), premade backgrounds, precuts, etc.  No posting of anything to the stock category (with the exception of character sheets which will not be used directly but merely as a guide.)    STOCK LINEART EXCEPTION... You can use stock placed in the LINEART ALLOWED folder of our gallery as a reference for lineart that you intend to allow others to color.  However, there will be special rules for this use that can be found in the description underneath the stock.
 Claim our photos as your own or post in the photography category (Exception:textures used in Digital Darkroom with credit).
 Redistribute these stock photos or make them available for download in any way, which includes compiling on a disc or posting on another website.
 Crop, retouch, smudge, change color or add a filter, text, scribble or texture and claim this as a photo-manipulation, digital mixed media, etc. To qualify as a manipulation at least 2 images, not including textures, must be combined.   To qualify as digital mixed media the image must be combined with a digital painting, 3D render or other digital creation. Moderate adjustments will be considered Digital Photo Enhancement.  We do allow the moderate adjustment or enhancement of our photos, but the resulting image can only be used under the non-art terms below.
__________________________________________________

NON-ART USES (Apply only to using as-is or moderately adjusted or enhanced images. Art made with our photos is covered above)

As-is or adjusted/enhanced images (cropped, retouched, smudged, filtered, colored or with the addition of text or a texture) may be used in personal, non-commercial projects such as blogs, school assignments or on web pages or as part of learning art techniques. For these non-profit uses we require a credit (text or link) on or near the photo anywhere they are used. User must still notify us.

For commercial or "for profit" use we must be contacted first. We will approve these on a case by case basis.

PRINT REQUESTS

We don't intend to offer prints of our stock images at this time. However, if you wish a print to hang in your own home, use when referencing or to give as a gift, then you may take the file to your local photo printer for that purpose. We only grant this permission for up to five copies of the image (if you want more than five you must contact us about it first) and we ask that you put salsolastock.deviantart .com on the back of each print.

Stock Providers:  You are welcome to model your stock rules after ours, but if using the Crayon 2.0 title or using rules verbatim please give us a nod as originators.

Thank you.

Would there be an issue with stock lineart or lineart in general if posted on DA only and with a watermark for people to not for use?

I am a writer and very bad at drawing and all types of stuff like that.
I am looking for something for artwork to the cover of a novel I am working on.
If I was to find something in your stock, would that be alright to use/add to the book cover etc?
Links and stuff are not my strong point, but I do try my best to do the right things etc.
Also, proper credits and copyright would be sought before anything was printed etc.

I would like permission to use this image in a photomanipulation. I am creating a flyer for a small town haunted barn/house in Capac Michigan. This is the so far so you can see how this image will be used. [link] this is the image I would like to use, and possible some of the other wolf images that you have. Please let me know.

That is well within our rules and looks like fun. Just remember to show us the finished work and if you post it to DA include a credit link in the description.
